Hafeet Tutoring ("we", "us", "our") provides private and group tutoring services in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website at hafeettutoring.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you register or interact with our platform:

• Parent / Guardian: Full name, email address, phone number, password (encrypted)
• Child: First name, grade level, subject of interest, preferred session time
• Payment: We do not store card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment only.
• Technical: Session cookies for login (HttpOnly, not accessible by scripts). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To schedule and manage tutoring sessions
• To communicate with you about your child's progress
• To send booking confirmations and session reminders (via SendGrid)
• To process payments securely (via Stripe)
• To improve our service quality

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party except our service providers (Stripe for payments, SendGrid for email) who are bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention

We retain your registration and session information for up to 2 years from your last active session, or until you request deletion. Payment records are retained as required by UAE financial regulations.

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent at any time

6. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA512. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session tokens are stored in HttpOnly cookies that cannot be accessed by browser scripts.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are for children but accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. All information about the child is provided by the parent/guardian.

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie ("sid") to keep you logged in. This cookie is HttpOnly and session-scoped. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
